Men's seconds needed a win at home against local rivals Winchester to rescue the second half of their season. With a strong team and the home field advantage spirits were high for the early start at John Hansen. Andover took the initial lead with Mark Frosty scoring a one on one against the keeper with practiced ease. This lead was confirmed by Max Souter and Matt Doyle both putting goals past the Winchester defence. Winchester responded by closing the lead to one goal. But Andover weren't to be phased by this as not long after Jack Fish fired one home from the edge of the shooting circle, earning him praise from both his own team and the opposition, and resulting in Jack getting man of the match. The fifth goal was scored by Captain Guy, securing the win and a much needed three points. Five goals from five players proving that Andover can deliver when needed. The men travel to Wimbourne next Saturday to try and secure three more and move to safety in the league.
