Andover pulled together a side which included a variety of club members from various teams Most of which were playing up for this fixture.

Andover travelled to Wimbourne for their last league game of the season know that they were playing for a bit of pride and with team who had not previously. played together

1st half Andover dominated the game with several chance going begging. The Ball was moved quickly and movement off the ball was good. Adam Boyne chased the ball down well and made some good penetrating runs still probably in a state of shock due to receiving several passes when in open play. On the other wing Ben Goacher aka Moe Szyslak (sorry Ben) sporting his best running shoes was also making some fine runs into the D

The front line was being well marshalled by John Priestley-cooper with support Jai Mews his first appearance in the adult league. Mozza captain for the day was also making some good runs and feeding the front two well as he played at the top of the diamond. At the back the screen of Sim Evans and Simon Priestly -Cooper stood strong and broke up most of the Wimbourne attacks. On the rare occasions they did get through everything was calmly mopped up by the back three of Rob Oosty ,Jack Rudolph Fish (its a family name)and and Jacob Marie stepping up from the M3's . Keeper Will Hemming stayed vocal and guided his back three and dealt with any shots from the opposing team.

At the break the teams were still at stale mate but it had been Andover making all the chances. The second half started in the same way but the heat of the day and the Andover Subs bench having a combined age of 120 years legs began to tire. It was going to take something special to break deadlock and it came about 15 minutes into the second half when a Wimbourne attacker hit a ball like a rocket from the top of D for it to be deflected past the Andover keeper. After this Andover continued to push for an equaliser but the young Wimbounre keeper was in excellent form and made several good stops

An excellent team performance. Big Thanks to everyone for making the game possible today and well done to all those players who stepped up today. Thanks to Alan May for umpiring and Guy the Meat (sorry cant spell your surname) for travelling up and giving the team your support

Man of the Match Rob Oosty another polished performance.
