A disappointment for the boys in what were some pretty grim conditions away at Romsey today, and a score line that makes the travel sting that little more. That said there were still some glimmers of nice hockey against a team who had the edge on us for skill - and the substitutes to keep running us hard where we only had 11.
Oscar was kept busy between the posts, and made some cracking saves to hold the sharpness of the Romsey strikers down, and was helped by Henry, Felix, Toby and Edward P in a defence that improved markedly as the game went on - in fact they stopped Romsey scoring a single goal in the last twenty minutes which was testament to their tenacity and determination.
Peter and Archie worked the middle of the park with Ollie and Alfie up the left side and Guy and Sam making some rapid breaks down the right side - really threatening, but never quite managing to put the chances away.
More to do, but always improving, so well done boys!
