The boys pulled off a cracker for Mothers day beating the top of the league and unbeaten Camberley 5-3 in a stonker of game.
Oli opened the scoring after nine minutes taking Andover in to an unexpected lead. This was quickly evened up as Camberley shocked at being down, rallied and counterattacked. Oli once again took the Andover boys in to the lead before once again being evened up before the end of the first third. The Andover boys sensed they could win and pull of an unexpected victory, and buoyed up with new confidence pressed the Camberley defence with wave after wave of well coordinated and well worked play. Andover took the lead once again at the half way point with another from Oli, before both Kieran and Jonah join in, taking Andover in to what looked like a certain victory.
The Camberley boys were not giving up and were not rolling over to lose they unbeaten record without a fight, and finding new spirit pressed Andover hard really testing the Andover defence and the teams mettle. This stood up well to the relentless challenges. Camberley managed to clawed one back in 58th minute and drove hard for last few minutes, causing the parents to start to bite their nails and the coach to count down the seconds.
A really great performance by the boys seeing them yet again build on their teamwork and communications. Well done lads, we are all really proud of you.
