Andover III travelled to Haslemere with the intention to keep the pressure on joint leaders Alton

Andover welcomed back Drapper who rumour has it, has been locked in a toilet in Tadley finishing his atomic bomb for the last few weeks. This was of particular concern for Bowry and Richards who argued over who would draw the short straw of transporting Drapper. Richards lost the bet much to the delight of Bowry who celebrated with a fist pump! Hodgy also returned after spending the last week reciving anger management classes as a result of the Woking game.

Drapper being the comedy genius that he is provided the entertainment on the journey informing us of some questionable website "Lobstertube". Before this could be explored further, Drapper conviently fell asleep. 30 minutes later and much to the amusement of the car, Drapper's snore was so loud that he woke himself up with a startle before proceeding to blame other members of the car for waking him!

So to the game and after a stiring team talk from Bowry, Andover took a very early lead. From a short corner Eldridge fired a low hard shot straight into the bottom right hand corner. Andover were however pinned back almost straight away with some poor marking in the D costing them the lead.

Not to let this get them down, Andover pressed on and were rewarded when another short corner leading to Eldridge placing the ball in exactly the same place as the first goal, restoring Andovers lead.

Some rather questionable umpiring and poor passing decisions, led to Andover conceding the lead once again.

The III's once again set of at the restart with purpose and a quest to retake the lead, this call was happily answered by Bowry who calmly slotted away the goal.

Following the pattern of the game Haselmere hit back with Andover caught out trying to play a optimistic ball out from the back, bringing the game back to all square.

Just before the half time whistle, Andover regained the lead through a well worked passage of play that resulted in Bowry squaring the ball with Morgan sweeping home to take Andover into the break 4-3 up.

The second half started and Andover started to show a bit more control than the first half with chances aplenty. With the woodwork and wayward shots preventing them from extending the lead.

Some squeaky moments ensued with Drapper taking one in the unmentionables Kavannagh diving in front of the ball, and last ditch defending from Bevan thankfully preventing Haslemere for getting back into the game.

Andover did extend the lead late on when Bowry took matters into his own hands, by weaving in and out of the opposition defence before cooly slotting home to
put some daylight between the team.

The game finished with no additions to the score, Andover running away winners 5-3 keeping the pressure on joint leaders Alton.

Back to the clubhouse and Duffield was voted man of the match for a faultless display and for also showing composure on the ball when needed. However the part that everyone was waiting for was D.O.D, with a mystery new costume that no one was looking forward wearing. Unsurprisingly for the multiple funny moments Drapper received D.O.D and kindly demonstrated the new costume to the amusement of the whole clubhouse.
