Andover travelled to Basingstoke with a depleted side. With only 11 players it was always going to be tough. The game as a whole was an even affair with both teams creating chances and passing the ball effectively. Karen and Nomes bossed the game, but Andover were 2-0 by half time.
The effort of all players was great with Rosie and Amelia running the wings well. Andover did pull the hand back to 2-1, when a quick free hit from defence, leading to a swift attack culminating in a fine first time strike from Carley.
MoM Karmen made some excellent saves during the match, the highlight being an under cut heading for the top right hand corner. The final score was 3-1, which didn’t reflect how even the game was.
