To beat top of the league Romsey once might be considered a fluke but to do it twice could be said to be being their nemesis and boy did the boys prove to be that for Romsey today with a stunning 6-0 victory.
Right from the start the Andover Boys showed they meant business and were not a side to be messed with. A shot in the first quarter saw George being called from the defence to take the strike and having zero'ed in his stick he wellied the ball in to the back of the net to take Andover into an early lead.
Play edded and flowed with the Romsey boys looking to level, but the Andover lads determined they were not going to do so, with the Andover defence standing rock solid, and Archie the keeper left twiddling his thumbs (except on a few vital occasions where he made some excellent saves to keep the slate clear).
Ben was the next to score from a great Andover break, and quickly followed up with a well worked goal from a short corner. Xavier added two more and Rory scored a third to make it a stunning 6-0 victory, but the credit cannot go to the scorers alone as it was a stunning team performance from the front to the back with every single player delivering and the defence proving, yet again, to be impenetrable.
The win has seen us move up in to 3rd in the league, which is amazing considering we were residing at the bottom for the first half of the season - well done boys, onward and upwards.
