Andover produced a great team performance against visiting Petersfield to get their first win of the season.
The home side made a fast start to the game and immediately put pressure on the league leaders. There was a commanding performance by Pip Watson who lead the defensive line; with the first goal being scored following a disrupted Petersfield attack and some slick passing found Xavier Cash who finished with aplomb.
Andover held the score at 1:0 until the 2nd period when they scored two quick goals. The first saw Ben Thomson streak down the right, passing to Harry Cowan, who's shot hit the post allowing William Taverner to score. This was followed by another quick attack, this time down the left and Harry Cowan was left unmarked in the circle to finish past the keeper.
In the final period the high tempo game began to tell on Andover allowing Petersfield to finish the game with a goal of their own.
This was a great performance from the team, both crowd and coaches were thrilled - well done boys!
