The Andover u12 boys team returned to action against Fleet & Ewshot on Sunday following an extended break. Hoping to replicate their last performance against Yateley at the end of January, the team were a little rusty at times and took some time to get their eye back in.
Defensively the team put in another solid and disciplined performance which set the platform for the side. Playing a high line the home team pressed the opposition well when they had the ball, leaving the always solid Archie Stepney with little to do in the Andover goal.
In the end, Andover produced a performance that was good enough for a comprehensive 6 - 0 victory with some of their play being eye catching, particularly when they went forward with width and changed the point of attack. Alex Birmingham with four goals, Xavier Cash and Ben Thomson all found the back of the net, but as ever this was a team performance and all the players can be proud of their efforts.
