Andover's developing side narrowly lose in friendly
Andover u12 played an away match against Winchester on Sunday and narrowly lost out in a close game that was played in a good spirit throughout. This was a friendly match after the Christmas break and Andover fielded a team with many developing players, a number of whom were playing their first match. The Andover players should rightly feel proud of their performance and in particular Oliver Allott, Haydn Carr, Jude Cash, Charlie Lewis, Harrison Stepney, Toby Taverner and Ethan Woollett showed enormous resolve and worked very hard. In goal, Ellie made a guest appearance and made some great saves. In the end the match ended 3 - 1 to the home side, but barring the first quarter, Andover more than held their own and troubled the opposition defence on a number of occasions.
