Andover U12 Boys
Match1 – Andover v’s Alton
Andover started the game on the attack with some early near misses from Charlie and Theo. The ball possession continued with Andover, building up to a goal from Theo.
Andover continued to dominate the game into the 2nd half, an early attack saw Sam cross the ball into the D for Gabriel to score on the back post. The Alton counter attacks saw some solid saves from Leo the keeper. An interception from the pushback and quick attack resulted with Andover winning a short corner & Sam scoring. A further textbook short corner followed with Will stopping, pushing to the far post for Sam to score.
A good win for Andover to take some confidence into the next match.
Result 4-0 Win
Match2 – Andover v’s Basingstoke
Basingstoke took an early goal after a break down the left. Andover counter attacked with some close shots but not managing to hit the target. Basingstoke managed to get their next shot on target scoring their 2nd. Andover were right back in there with a goal from Sam.
Basingstoke were continually on the attack keeping Zac and Federico busy in defence eventually scoring their 3rd. The end-to-end game saw Andover score a 2nd goal from Sam and Basingstoke then score their 4th and just before the half time whistle, they got their 5th.
The 2nd half saw both teams tiring but Sam’s relentless energy helped Andover win a short corner and him score his hattrick.
Andover battled well against a solid Basingstoke team.
Result 5-3 Loss
