Andover 3 v Haslemere 5

Andover M3 after a two week lay off took to the pitch with a very strong squad. The home side got off to good start making some good early chances. Haslemere failed to penetrate a good strong defence which was bolstered by the return of Mark Eggington after a long lay off due to injury. Against the run of play Andover conceded a short corner which led to an opening goal for Haslemere. This led to the Andover Manager bringing himself on to score Andover's first goal of the season and bring the teams level before they went in at half time.

The second half got off to a good start with Tom Lee coolly slotting home a second. Both wings worked hard through the game and the younger player showed good maturity in their play. Andover had a slight scare but Iceman Pete Lawrence calmly cleared of the line while Keeper Jack topliss continued to smell. James Rochester making his last appearance before he goes on tour with the army added another two goals before Ollie Godman (aka Bad boy of the day) decided play around the back as instructed but forgot you are supposed to pass to your players. when doing it he gifted their attacker with an easy chance. A great team performance but one man who stood out Liam Kavanagh Man of match constant running and effort through the whole game. Thanks team one chuffed Manager!
