back to back wins for Andover M3

Andover 3 travelled to Bournemouth on the back of their first win last week. Confidence was high even though the squad was depleted from the previous week. Andover got off to good start and made some early chances. Bournemouth then dominated for a long period of game but could not penetrate the Andover defence who were well organised. Then against the run of play the Big Man! Sam Richards after two assists last week decided to take the game into his hands hit a bouncing shot past the Bournemouth keeper. Andover then continued to defend well and took the one nil lead into half time.

Andover started the second half brightly with some good inter play between the young midfield players but could not kill the game off with a clear cut chance . The home side took heart from this and against the run play they managed to score an equaliser as Andover failed to clear their lines. It would have been easy for Andover to have folded at this stage as Bournemouth looked for the winner, but with about 15 Minutes to go Rob Oosty found himself in the Bournemouth D and showed the maturity to calmly fired home giving Andover 2-1 Lead.

The last 5 Minutes saw Bournemouth push for the equaliser but Andover held strong to the end to secure back to back victories a first to be seen for some seasons.

Man of Match Ollie Hall excellent maturity shown a fine individual performance and worked hard for his team.
