Andover 3 v Southampton 3

Andover 3 hosted Southampton 3 in the Men's tier 4 championship with a side which had several changes from the previous days game. Even though Southampton were three division higher than Andover the home side held their own and looked more likely to score in the first half.

Jack Topliss was in fine form in the Andover goal but totally against the run of play Southampton managed to take a one nil lead into half time break. start of the second half Andover pushed for an equaliser and continued to match their opponents. This eventually took its toll and after a number of substitutions Andover lost their shape and conceded another four goals in quite quick concession. The team showed great team spirit and pushed until the final whistle. Big thanks to Andy Thompson and Mark Taylor for helping the side out and well done to all the juniors for again showing great maturity in their play. The score line was no way a reflection of the performance.
