Andover travelled to Romsey for their first match following the Christmas break. Andover started brightly, interlinking passes well. Andover's opening goal came following a ball from the left allowing Amelia Zeal a simple tap in from close range. The second third of the game saw Romsey increase their pressure with the Andover defensive line of Hacker, Horne and Rarok holding firm. Andover picked up their momentum with Rosie Kavanagh and Gabrielle Staines bossing the centre midfield and threading passes through which led to Maya Doherty scoring Andover's second.
Romsey had a few chances in the game but U12's keeper Josie Taylor was magnificent in goal making numerous saves, which were cleared up by the ever reliable Zara Crapper. Romsey were able to halve the deficit with a powerful shot, but Andover fully deserved the win when Amelia Zeal scored her second following a good passing move.
