Andover u14 boys came up against league leaders Aldershot and Farnham side on Sunday, and despite putting in a gutsy performance, ended up on the losing side.
This was a game that was played in the wonderful micro climate that is the John Hanson stadium. The warming rays of January sunshine were as nothing compared to the delightful breeze that gently cooled the players and crowd down to a pleasant arctic temperature.
Despite the score, the boys put in a gutsy performance, playing some really nice hockey in patches moving the ball out wide with some crisp passing. Man of the match goes to Alan who, having turned up to watch, took pity on the u14 coach and umpired the game - many thanks Alan.
