Andover u14 boys travelled to Woking for their first league game of the season on Sunday and ended up coming back with a creditable draw. This was an end to end match that was initially dominated by Woking who worked their way to a 3 - 0 lead by the middle of the game. In part this was down to good Woking attacking play and in part it was down to some naive positional play as the away side were caught on the break on more than one occasion.
During the second half of the game Andover started to play much better, with good composure and more urgency. This allowed them to start to pin the home side back and following a sustained period of pressure Peter Thomson slotted home their first goal. Andover continued to believe and captain Harry Cowan was next on the score sheet after some solid build up play. Ben Thomson scored the equaliser five minutes from time after the ball was stolen in midfield by the excellent Hari Putt.
Well done boys, a great fight back!
