The u14 boys travelled away to play a strong Haslemere side on Sunday. The team played well, and the eventual 7 - 3 scoreline was not reflective of the quality of Andover's play. At half time, Andover were ahead 1 - 2 following an open play goal from Xavier Cash and a precise penalty corner strike from Ben Thomson.
Haslemere scored two in pretty quick succession after half time and the away side went in search of more goals to regain the advantage. Despite carving out a number of opportunities, including hitting the post, Andover were unable to get back into the game. In goal, Ellie had a fantastic game and made some super saves - credit must also go to Henry Wolfe-Barry who had one of his strongest games yet for the team.
In the end, the home side proved too strong, but there was still time for a fine goal from Will Taverner before the end. Andover play their next game at home on 1st December.
