The U16 girls came up against top of Div 1 Bournemouth in the semi finals of the U16 Cup. Given the U16s is actually over 75% U14s it was always going to be a massive ask.

The girls had a stonker of a game producing what was not only their best personal performance across the board but also an awesome team effort.
The girls managed to be 1-1 after about 15 minutes with Liv scoring a lovely goal from a well worked break out from our D to really lift the Andover crowd before the age, strength and speed difference of a true U16 squad verses a primarily U14 squad started to show.

Despite being out gunned the girls worked hard from the first whistle until the final whistle and produced some amazing performances that impressed not only the Bournemouth coach but all of us watching. The final score line belied the game play and had it not been for a solid and amazing performance from the Andover defence the score could have been at least 3 times higher.

Players players were Tiana and Josie, but anyone could have been picked for their hard work and great performances.

Great effort across the board and a glimpse of how great they will be next year. Well done girls......awesome performance. Jacqui and I are super proud coaches.
